About the Journal

Tér - Gazdaság - Ember / Journal of Region, Economy and Society is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal of the Kautz Gyula Kautz Faculty of Economics at Széchenyi István University, founded in 2012 and published continuously since 2013. Between 2013 and 2024 the journal was published four times a year, while from 2025 the journal will publish its articles twice a year, in June and December, in Hungarian and English. The journal will follow a continuous publication system, so that peer-reviewed and accepted papers will be made available in "Article in Press" format before the full issue is published.
The journal focuses on general economics, regional science, theoretical history, economic history, economic statistics, marketing, management, logistics and management science. At the same time, it is open to interdisciplinary approaches, so that other disciplines related to economics and economic processes, such as economic law, economic sociology, political science, economic psychology, ethics, engineering and other social science research, may also be included.
Since its inception, the journal has been led by a number of highly respected experts, ensuring the continued development of scientific excellence and professional credibility. The founding Editor-in-Chief, Dr Ferenc Somogyi, Associate Professor, led the journal from 2012 to 2016, defining its interdisciplinary approach and professional foundation. He was succeeded by Prof. Dr. Tamás Dusek, Professor, who took over as Editor-in-Chief in 2017, further strengthening the journal's scientific recognition. Adrienn Reisinger, Associate Professor, took over the position of Editor-in-Chief with a focus on promoting interdisciplinary research. The work of the previous Editors-in-Chief has been instrumental in making Tér - Gazdaság - Ember / Journal of Region, Economy and Society a leading player in the academic study of economic and social processes.
